Partnerships with Veterans Serving Veterans Organization

CapTel Captioned Telephone Services

Dear Veterans Serving Veterans Org., Inc. Community,

We are pleased to share some exciting news with you. Veterans Serving Veterans Org.,  Inc. and OEI (Outreach, Education & Installations) have begun a collaboration to better  support veterans and their families through access to CapTel Captioned Telephone  services.

CapTel is a federally funded program that provides captioned telephones at no cost to  individuals who are hard of hearing or experiencing hearing loss. The phones display word for-word captions of phone conversations in real time, allowing users to read what is  being said while listening as much as they are able. This can make a meaningful difference  in everyday communication—especially for important calls with healthcare providers,  pharmacies, VA services, caregivers, family members, and friends. Through OEI, CapTel phones are:

• Provided at no cost to individuals with hearing loss or who are hard of hearing

• Professionally installed in the home or living care facility (free of charge)

• Accompanied by one-on-one education and training to ensure users feel  confident using the phone

Many of the individuals we serve are veterans, and we are proud to regularly support  veterans in maintaining independence, safety, and connection. We are also honored to  share that many members of our OEI team are veterans themselves, bringing firsthand  understanding, respect, and dedication to the work we do.

This collaboration with Veterans Serving Veterans Org., Inc. allows us to further our shared  mission: ensuring veterans are aware of and able to access helpful, no-cost resources that  improve quality of life. Together, we aim to make sure no veteran struggles to communicate simply because of hearing loss.

If you or someone you support may benefit from a CapTel phone, or if you would like more  information about how the program works, we encourage you to reach out. We would be  happy to answer questions, provide educational materials, or help start the simple  application process.

Thank you for your continued commitment to serving those who have served our country.  We are grateful for the opportunity to work together in support of the veteran community.

Warm regards,

Leah Gancz, OEI Educator

Veterans Serving Veterans

We want to personally thank you and Veterans Serving Veterans for your generous donation recently. We can’t express how much it meant to the Full Throttle Men’s Ministry to have your help. Your donation of $500 allowed Full Throttle to host a barbecue for the men’s homeless shelter at the 2100 Lakeside facility, Cleveland. Your generous donation enabled us to feed over 180 men on June 29, 2025 at the shelter.

VSV provided hot dogs, coleslaw, potato salad, chips, brownies, and cookies. As well as watermelon, soda, and water. We consider the event a huge success, especially since many of the residents of the homeless facility are veterans.

You are not just a donor, but a much needed part of the community. We look forward to partnering with VSV again to help serve others in a positive way.

Thank you very much!
